About Volcano Girls:

"Volcano Girls" is the title of a song by Veruca Salt. In the lyrics, they tell you that "the Seether" is Louise. My middle name is Louise, so I decided I might as well create my public relations/marketing site around that concept. I live for music and for supporting all the various small businesses, creativity, and individuality in my surrounding communities. -Kate

Nikky Raney Interviews Seth Majka of 'The Casting'

Seth Majka's solo project 'The Casting' has its album 'I Am The Dirt' available on iTunes. This interview gives the audience a little sneak peek of the album as well as getting to know how much effort and time went into this two year project. Seth is extremely talented and he truly does deserve recognition for what he has accomplished.

Please send me "fan mail" messages of questions you'd like me to ask Seth during our next interview. You may remember Seth from previous videos as Majkatvboi - and there will be more of those fun videos in the near future.

Miley Cyrus Does Salvia Bong Hits

This is taken from my Zennie62 post

Wow, what a sensational headline. Be prepared, because this will be quite the blog post. This journalist is letting her blogger side really take over with this post. This is not Fox News, but that headline could definitely be confused or could potentially be a Fox News headline - apologies for that. Anyway, Miley Cyrus (who turned 18 on November 23, so she's not jailbait anymore and no one can give her any more complaints about her being overly sexual) has been said to have been smoking from a bong, but the claims are that the bong contains salvia.

TMZ video screen shot
All right so the following information was gathered from CBS News.

It seems like not very many people know what salvia is. It looks like the bigger story is "What is salvia" more so than Cyrus doing salvia. All right, being a college student may help in educating this. Salvia is legal and it is comparable to marijuana (not from personal experience). Salvia is said to give hallucinations and all sorts of things, but it's temporary.

CBS' headline for this story is: Miley Cyrus Bong Said to Contain Salvia: What's That? Aside from the fact that the headline should probably say "Miley Cyrus' Bong." Or if read in a different tone it could make it sound like Cyrus' bong is actually speaking.

CBS includes:

Google Images
Whatever Cyrus was feeling inside, outwardly she was giggling up a storm and jabbering - mostly incomprehensibly, except for a choice remark: "I want some more of that s***, I swear."

TMZ can always be relied on to get just what is needed to help with the credibility of a story (oddly enough). It seems weird that TMZ and credibility work together. TMZ has a video of the former Hannah Montana star taking bong hits for her birthday.

TMZ includes:

As for the video ... the source tells us it was shot by one of Miley's friends -- and the theory is someone stole or copied the video from that friend's camera.

Ha, TMZ is like WikiLeaks for celebrities. Letting out all the juiciness that people want secret. Everyone should watch that video - she looks pretty happy.

Now, it's interesting that TMZ's credibility is greater than that of US Magazine. US Magazine reports that Billy Ray Cyrus is "sad" because of Miley's bong video.

Wait? He's sad because of the BONG video. He isn't sad because of the lap dance video or any of the other disturbing things that she did when she was not of legal age, but now that she's 18 and she is doing a legal drug he is sad?

Apparently he tweeted:

"I had no idea. Just saw this stuff for the first time myself. I'm so sad. There is much beyond my control right now."

Personal screen shot taken of Billy Ray's Twitter

The screenshot includes his tweet about Jesus.

What? He is more upset about her doing salvia bong hits than her dancing on stripper poles, taking seductive pictures at the age of 15, giving a 44-year-old man a lap-dance at the age of 16, etc? Does this family make sense? Her racy outfits and watching videos of her acting all seductive at concerts and making herself "sexy" before she reached 18 was not as upsetting as seeing a video of her taking hits from a bong? This is unbelievable - maybe US Weekly isn't right.

US Weekly also claims:

"Okay, I'm about to lose it now," Cyrus says after taking her first hit. "I'm having a little bit of a trip right now."

Hey, it's legal. She is allowed to enjoy herself now. Is this being blown out of proportion? Maybe, but it's enjoyable to be able to blog about this. It's ironic that now that she's 18 all off a sudden her father finds a flaw in her behavior.

Here's a completely unrelated video of Nikky Raney doing a KE$HA parody. This video has absolutely nothing at all to do with this blog post in any way shape or form.. just felt like including it:

Jersey Shore season 2 Finale

Jersey Shore season two came to an end last night, October 21, 2010 at 10 p.m. ET.

Taking notes while watching
The last episode of season two was one that definitely sets up for season three quite nicely.

The episode starts with the group of seven going out to the Everglades. At a restaurant the group decides to try frog legs, but JWOWW is seriously disgusted by the entire concept. While JWOWW is in the bathroom The Situation stands outside the door waiting for her to come out as she dangles frog legs in her face.

On the drive back to Miami The Situation asks Ronnie to pull the van over so that he can vomit said frog legs.

When the crew gets back Vinny and Pauly D prepare to take out two of the ladies that they really liked during the stay in Miami. Vinny takes out Ramona, and it was a very sweet scenario. The two know that they cannot have a long distance relationship, but it is apparent that the two wish they had more time together. As Vinny kisses her good-bye (they did not smoosh) the cameras switch to Pauly D's date with Rocia. The two agree that they cannot have a long distance relationship, but they really would like that. At the end of the night he is making out with her and says, "I don't even want to smoosh her." Coming from Pauly D that is pretty romantic.

Then the last romantic dinner of the night is Ronnie and Sammi - which is the least romantic. The two sit there in silent and then Sammi calls Ronnie out for acting different. She says, "I want to be with my boyfriend all the time." Ronnie insists that Sammi needs to admit that she's wrong - because apparently the two are in some sort of fight (like always).

When everyone is back from their dates the entire house goes out to the club to have some fun. Sammi and Ronnie are drinking, and Sammi finally apologizes. The rest of the house is dancing and having a great time.

Two girls approach Vinny and want a threesome. Vinny says, "Sometimes two grenades equals one good looking girl," and then says, "I really wish I was with Ramona when these grenades came up to me wanting a threesome." Thankfully, Vinny turns down the grenades saying "SAY NO TO HOES" - and The Situation takes the opportunity to jump on that.

The Situation goes in the bathroom with the two girls and uses some strange hand motions to explain what was going on between the three of them. That's kind of funny.

The housemates start to clean, and there is a lot to clean -- including food from when Vinny's mom came.

While cooking the family dinner Sammi just has a bad attitude toward Snooki, and Snooki is sad because she really had a friendship with Sammi. During dinner a little bit of an intense moment happens when discussing who did the least in the house - Sammi getting offended.

Courtesy of MTV
They go into the living room and Vinny has a bright idea and says, "You know when you're in high school and there's those things in the yearbook like 'most likely to sleep with my sister' and stuff - well we should do that."

The first superlative is tame saying "most likely to get skin cancer." This is a joke by saying who tans the most. Pauly D jokes that he definitely should get that.

Somehow a fight escalates between Vinny and the Situation. He is saying that Vinny just started doing "GTL" this season and that he did the robbery on Pauly D. It's a really strange "situation." (It's strange how it's hard to use that word without thinking of Mike Sorrentino) The two just are fighting about tanning.

Then they discuss who is the fakest one in the house. People start to get very defensive. The Situation is getting pinpointed and he says, "Well since Angelina isn't in the house it has to be me!" Then something happens making JWOWW angry and The Situation and the others confide to Snooki that they think JWOWW is the fakest in the house. She has breast implants and has gotten lots of plastic surgery - so it's not that far fetched.

"It's so typical to talk shit on the last day, because if you did it before you'd be outcasted. Now it's the last night and everyone's speaking out," The Situation says.

The rest of the episode is just a mess of fighting, crying, shouting, drinking and sets up for the third season.

This Jersey Shore coverage began as a character analysis, but after watching one episode the show becomes an addicting guilty pleasure. Make sure to tune into see next season's recaps.
